Needlefelt a pair of Gnomes for your Home!
Learn to needlefelt in this fun, three hour Gnome making workshop, led by Freya Gamble, at Made in the Marches Gallery, 12 Church St, Kington HR5 3AZ
Monday 11th October, 11am to 2pm
You will get all the materials and equipment to make two Tomte style gnomes to take home with you; you can keep the needles, felting base and finger guards- so your felting adventure need not stop when the workshop wraps up!
During this three hour workshop, You will turn a couple of handfuls of fleece, and a yard or two of yarn, into a couple of characters to take home with you. I'll demonstrate and give tips about techniques I have learned through trial and error. You'll be amazed at how quickly and satisfyingly the material transforms in your hands; I hope that this will be just the first day of your needlefelting adventure!
Suitable for all abilities, but not recommended for children unless they are already competent and safe with needles, scissors etc.
Included in the price of the workshop is enough material to make two gnomes, I already have a good selection of colours, but if you want a particular colour, let me know- I'm always looking for excuses to visit the wool shop!
Refreshments included: tea and coffee, fresh bread, crackers, cheese & pickle, and homemade chocolate cake (vegan & gluten free, but you wouldn't know it!)
The workshop will take place at Made in the Marches Gallery, 12 Church St. HR5 3AZ. The venue is closed on Mondays, so we will have the lovely space to ourselves.
