I am very excited to be part of the artistic community in Herefordshire and to be settling into full time studio practice.
I completed an MA in Fine Art at Central St Martins whilst teaching art and regard this current period as a valuable opportunity to both explore and synthesise processes, techniques and imagery I have long enjoyed whilst printing and painting.
In my work plants metamorphosise, landscapes are seen anew and layered narratives all feature as patterns seep into compositions to both harmonise with and occasionally interrupt the visual flow.
Animals are also beginning to feature in my work, The Lapidarium at Herefordshire Cathedral helped inspire a recent print where scragging creatures create havoc and an owl adorns itself with barley. A modern folk tale in the making!
