September/October 2020 Exhibition and Project
VENUE: MADE IN THE MARCHES GALLERY, KINGTON DATES: 2 SEPTEMBER – 31 OCTOBER 2020 CURATOR: REBECCA FINNEY Project Aims An exhibition of work by a variety of artists that celebrates the rich landscape of Herefordshire, especially that surrounding Kington, and explores the diverse ways this landscape can be creatively interpreted. |
The work on show will include artefacts of different media: paintings, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, textile. Also, sketchbooks and documentation; presenting finished articles and processes that underpin them.
There will be opportunities for the community to share this creative engagement by using the exhibition as a hub for a programme of participatory activities. |
The exhibition was planned to coincide with the following events which have now been postponed: hArt (Herefordshire Art Week) - 5-13 September 10th Kington Walking Festival - 17-20 September Kington hosting annual Walkers are Welcome meet - 9-11 October Currently, The Big Draw Theme 'Climate of Change' which takes place throughout October, has not been postponed |
